東北大学金属材料研究所は，東北大学が掲げる「研究第一」の伝統，「門戸
開放」の理念，「実学尊重」の精神をもとに，材料科学研究分野における独
創的な研究を推進し，研究成果の創出・発信，社会への還元を進めています
．今回，金属材料研究所の研究活動のさらなる発展と活性化のために，所属
する研究部門（研究室）・センターにおける応募者自身の研究実施とともに
材料科学研究分野の将来発展と開拓に多様な視点から挑戦する意欲ある女性
教員（助教）の公募を下記のように行います．金属材料研究所がカバーする
材料科学研究分野において活躍していただける女性研究者を広く公募いたし
ます．

５．応募資格：
１）女性（「男女雇用機会均等法」第８条（女性労働者に係る措置に関する
特例）の規定に基づいています．）
２）博士の学位取得者（取得見込みも含む）
６． 勤務形態： 常勤　任期あり　７年（再任審査後最長で３年の更新）
ただし，所属を希望する研究部門（研究室）・センターにより任期に相違が
ある場合があるため，応募前に問い合わせ，確認のこと

Open call for female faculty members at the Institute for Materials
Research, Tohoku University

Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University promotes
outstanding research in the field of materials science based on the
university's "research first" tradition, "open-door" philosophy, and
"respect for practical learning" spirit, and is committed to the
creation and dissemination of research results and their return to
society.
For the further development and activation of research activities in
IMR, we are accepting applications for female faculty members
(assistant professors) who are highly motivated to carry out their
own research in IMR as well as for the future development of the
materials science research field from the diverse perspective
as follows.

We are seeking a wide range of female researchers who are willing
to play an active role in the materials science research fields
covered by IMR.

5. Qualifications:
(1) Women
(Based on the provisions of Article 8 of the "Equal Employment
Opportunity Law" (special provisions regarding measures for
female workers))
(2) Those with a doctoral degree (including prospective doctoral
degree holders)
6. Employment status
Full-time Assistant Professor: non-tenured 7 years (possibility of
extension up to 3 years after reappointment review)
However, the term may differ depending on the research division
(laboratory) or center to which the applicant wishes to belong.
7. Compensation: Compensation pursuant to regulation of Tohoku
University
8. Starting date: Scheduled for April 1, 2024.
(The timing of the appointment may be negotiable.)
